Alison Verges Walters, Esq. is Chief of Staff & General Counsel of Angels for Change, a national nonprofit dedicated to ending drug shortages through advocacy, awareness, and building a more resilient pharmaceutical supply chain. She was a Founding Volunteer Board Member and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors at the inception of Angels for Change.
A seasoned attorney with more than 20 years of experience in financial services law, regulatory compliance, and governance, Alison brings deep expertise in risk management, regulatory oversight, and operational leadership to the organization. As a Partner and Director of Compliance in her legal career, she has led complex compliance programs, managed regulatory audits and investigations, and advised executive leadership on strategic risk mitigation in high-volume, highly regulated environments.
At Angels for Change, Alison applies her legal and compliance background to strengthen governance, guide policy strategy, and support operational growth. She plays a key leadership role in board development, organizational oversight, and advancing the organization’s mission to end drug shortages.
Alison earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she was a member of the National Moot Court Team. She is admitted to The Florida Bar and has served in multiple leadership roles within professional legal associations, including Chair of the Florida Bar Small Claims Rules Committee and a long standing Board Member of the National Creditors Bar Association.
